How can I change resolution to 600 x 600 px using W.photo gallery

I have to change the image resolution in photo to 600 x 600 px. What program
should I use? Right now those photos in Windows Photo Gallery.

Use a an image editing software to crop the picture to a square and then
change the resolution. Irfanview is one possibility. Use www.google.com
to find it, and other image editors
