how can I change the personal details assosciated with the email?

When I double click on my email address from the title bar of a message it
comes up with a window with my address/phone etc details in. However, they
are wrong. How do I update these details?

Hard to say where exactly you are looking at. Apparently it is non-editable
to you so I'm guessing you are now looking at your own entry in the Global
Address List. This means you are using an Exchange mail account type. The
information in the GAL is initially entered by the corporate admin but this
task could be delegated to somebody else and that permission can even be
granted to you (so that you can update your own record). It all depends on
the which decisions have been made in your corporation. Contact the
corporate admin to find out.

My colleagues too are having this very problem, however I am confident that I
as a user can do this - how do I know? Becuase I changed the details
associated with my email address, but can't now recall how I did it.

I too am looking for the solution.

My company provides an EXE we can run that allows us to update certain
fields in our Active Directory record.
