How can I change the Table Properties options panel size?

B

Brian

The Table Properties option panel in FrontPage 6.0 is too large. The Okay,
Cancel and Apply options are out of sight under the Task Bar at the bottom of
my screen. I know I can hide the Taks Bar or change the screen resolution,
but that is onerous.

What I'd like to find is a setting that would reduce the panel size or chop
off the top panel. Thanks.

This is by design, and is not a bug, etc. You have change your resolution to 1024 x 768 will not
work in 800 x 600.

Hello Thomas........I think we realize this is not a bug but to me, it is a
poor design to have to change resolutions every time I want to change the
table properties. They need to change that. The size only needs to be a
slight bit smaller.

It is based on the fact that the Interface has to support multiple language versions of FP. Why not
just work in 1024 x 768, if the fonts are too small you can adjust them under your Video Properties.

I tried that but everything is still too small for me to read and the larger
text distorts the layout.

Can you explain a bit more in detail what you mean by the multiple languages
and how it affects the size of the tables properties box? I dont understand
what you are saying.

FrontPage as well as many other MS products are available in different languages, some of these
language require more space for the wording in the menus and dialog boxes, so the developers decide
to create a single dialog box that would support all language versions of FP, etc.

In the case of the table dialog box, the minimum resolution is 1024 x 768. which is what most new
computer come set as the default today.

Makes ya scratch your head and wonder why they didn't make the box wider and
not quite so high then. It's 450x600 and it would have worked out a lot
better if it was 600x450.

That problem will not go away any time soon (if ever) To avoid the problem,
use the keyboard shortcuts.
