How can I convert works documents to word 2003

How can I convert works documents to word 2003? I have tried the info from
microsoft but it only converts the file type but not the file contents.

What do you mean by "converts the file type but not the file contents"? I
have to tell you that makes no sense.

If Works can save documents in either RTF or HTML formats, Word can read
them.
