How can I delete a list from a column?

Hello all -Excel 2003-

I have a column L that call a list. When I want to insert a new column in
M, this M columns takes also the list of L.
I have now the same list in L and M. How can I delete the list from M?

Select the column and Edit>Clear>Contents.
