how can I delete old custom headers in Excel?

A user at my company took over a computer previously used by someone else.
Excel contains a custom header containing the previous users name. She
accidentally sent a report with that header attached and is in a bit of
trouble with the boss. I'm trying to find the simplest way to remove the
custom header to avoid a repetition.

AFAIK, there's no way to do this.

To prevent an "accidental" re-occurance, you could change the font size to 1
and the font to Wingdings on that particular Custom Header.........at least
the old employee's name would not appear on printouts anymore..........

If I'm not mistaken the names that appear in the custom header/footer
dropdowns key off the workbook's author name under File, Properties. So if
you change it there the header/footers available in the drop down should
change too. However if you're currently using one of the old names you'd
have to change that manually through the dialog.
