I have a spreadsheet of data where one of the columns contains data that has
3 leading characters that I would like to strip off. All of the cells are
contain different characters so I can't do a global replace. An example:
cell = MCOP3257 and I would like to resultant cell to = P3257. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

You could use the Text to Columns feature to delete the characters:

Select the cells that you want to change
Choose Data>Text to Columns
Select Fixed Width, click Next
In the Data Preview window, click after the third character,
to add a break line.
Click Next
With the first column selected, choose
'Do not import column (skip)'
Click Finish
