How can I dynamically change color via a print merge

I want to change the background color of a label based on input parameters
from a print merge. Is that possible? I am currently pulling in several
fields but would like to control the color as well.

Thanks for any help that you can provide!

1. Use colored labels.
2. Put a colored background on the label before you do your mail merge.
