How can I edit the Legend of a Project schedule

J

J. Robb

My Project schedule (Gnatt format) only utilizes Tasks, Critical Tasks, and
Summary. However, the default Legend at the bottom of the page provides many
more symbols which are not being utlized; And these additional symbols are
further utilizing the same symbols (colors) as several of the elements I am
utilizing in my gnatt chart. It's confusing to people unfamiliar with
reading schedules or drawings.

Is there a way to edit this Legend or customize the legend to reflect only
what I'm utilizing?

All avaialble options for the legend are under File/Page Setup and then pull
the Legend Tab. Sorry, that is all that is available.

The legend picks up all the things you have chosen to draw using
Format Bar Styles. At first confusing it is actually reasonably easy
to configure. You name the thing you want to draw, you choose what
you want it to look like and you choose where you start drawing the
thing and where you finish drawing it. The words you use turn up in
the legend against the shape. So to answer your question you can
change the legend via Format Bar styles. Include a star before the
description to hide the item off the legend.
