how can I fill the intersection of two basic shapes

I have two circles that overlap. I want to have each of them be transparent,
and just have the part that overlaps colored in.

How can I do that?

If you select both circles, then select Shapes \ Operations \ Fragment you
will end up with three shapes that you can fill independantly
