How can I Find and Replace section breaks?

B

Bert Coules

I'm sorry to be asking what I'm sure is a very basic question, but for some
reason I can't find the answer anywhere.

I working (in Word 2000) on a lengthy document which was converted from a
WordPerfect file. For some reason, the Word document is peppered with
section breaks (there were no equivalents in the WP original) which I would
like to remove. But I can't find an option in Find and Replace to locate
them.

Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Many
thanks.

If you click More in the Replace dialog and choose Special, do you not see
Section Break listed? That will insert ^b, which is the code for them.

Sorry to reply to myself, but I've found the answer: I was looking (quite
reasonably, I think) in Find and Replace/More/Format but the Section Break
option is under Find and Replace/More/Special...

Suzanne, many thanks for the reply. As you'll have seen, we both posted at
the same time...
