How can I find my entourage files on a failing hard drive?

E

Earl Wilcox

I am on 10.2+ Powerbook with Office vX. My hard drive is expiring. I can
sometimes get the drive up from the startup disk in 9.2. Is there anyway to
find my address book and inbox and outbox files to copy to another drive via
fire wire. I have been able to save a lot of data but don't know how to get
to these files.

Thanks for your help.

Everything is in the Microsoft User Data folder - see here:

Hi Earl,

All of your data (messages, contacts, tasks, notes, etc.) is stored in your
Microsoft User Data (MUD) folder. You'll find the MUD folder in your
Documents folder. You can copy the whole thing (or at least your Main
Identity folder which is inside the MUD) and then paste it into the
Documents folder of the new drive.

For more on this subject, see here:

Hope this helps.
