how can I find out who I sent a messsage to... and who I cc'd to

Going crazy

I guess I need to be more specific. I forward messages and when I go back
and try to find out who I cc'd on the forwarded message I can't find out. All
it says at the top of the message is that I forwarded the message on such and
such a date but I can't find out who I forwarded it to or who I cc'd it to.
There is nothing in the sent folder.

If you do not keep a copy of your sent item, there's no way to determine to
whom you sent it if you can't remember.

Where are your Sent Items being filed? You don't say what version of Outlook
you're using but here is a general location:

Tools > Options > Preferences > E-mail options

There is a box that says: Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder

That box should be checked. If not, check it. If it is checked, are you
filtering the view of your Sent Items?

View > Current View > Messages (is what should be checked)

Going crazy

Ok... I'm using Outlook 2003.. In the message handling tab save copies of
message in sent folder is checked

In the tab for sent message - save forwarded messages is checked.

The problem....

When I send a message it goes into the sent folder like it's supposed to.

When I forward a messasge and lets say I cc it to two other people I have no
record... or I can't find out who I've cc'd the forwarded message to. The
forwarded message is moved to the sent folder but it only shows who I emailed
it to... not who I cc'd it to

Try opening the message in the Sent Items folder, see if the addressees are
shown. If not, try using the resend option to check the addresses.
