How can I force contact activites to look in certain folders first

When I use contact activies, Outlook has to search through years of emails,
and it takes a long time.... and it seems as though it leaves the most
current folders til last. Is there some way of forcing the activities to give
priority to certain folders so that I am more likely to find emails I want
rather than have to wait until it pulls up EVERY other email first?
(It seems to like to go through the "mail archives" before going through the
"inbox" and "current messages")

You can set up more activity groups and set the default group on the Properties dialog for the particular contacts folder.
