How can I get a background to print with a word document?

I have created a word document with a background and would like to create a
file that will print both text and background.

Is there a way to print the background in word? Or is there a program that
I can import this document into in order to keep it whole and print it?

If you have Word 2003, there is an option on the Print tab of Tools |
Options to print the background. In earlier versions, "backgrounds" are just
for Web pages; for printed documents you need to create a "watermark" (which
see in Word's Help).
