How can I get my HP all in one to scan a document

I have tried everything Hep suggested to scan a document. I keep getting
rthe message that that option is not installed and I re-installed Office
2007. I could do it with no problem in 2003

Depending on the HP unit you have, it may not be compatible with Office
2007. Will it scan with the provided HP software, leaving Office out of
the mix. If you can scan to a tif image, you should be able to open that
image in Microsoft Office Document Imaging and edit/OCR it.

The more information you supply, the more useful help you will receive.

Assuming that you are using Office 2007 Tools scanning or document imaging,
try a scan. When you get the scan dialog, click on the Scanner button to
select a scanner. Click on the scanner selection down arrow. I have a HP
7100 series and the scanner selection has two selections for my HP. If you
have two selections of scanners for your HP, select the one you are not
using.

Verify that you have the latest drivers installed for your HP.
