How can I get Pub 03 to open my Pub '00 docs?

....Online help says I can, but whenever I try, Publisher, on opening, says
"Publisher cannot open files from a different version". Why?? That's a lot of
valuable time, energy and all, if I have to recreate everything from scratch!!

Thanks!!!

Actually, I hate to admit this publicly, but our software guy hasn't
installed any AV program yet (brand new machine). And yes, I am sure - I
checked the program files, startup etc. to make sure because I like to run AV
almost daily, and was disturbed to discover it not there.

Other possibilities?
Thank you!

Usually it is the virus software. Firewall?

Double-click the Publisher file in Windows Explorer. Do you have a default
printer enabled?
Disable the printer altogether. Publisher saves all printer information within
each file, maybe the 2000 document is looking for a driver that is not
installed.
Try opening the file in safe mode.

I've received a couple of 2000 files that would not open in 2003, but would in
2000. I never did figure out why. I had a feeling it was the images.

If you want, send the file to me and I will convert it to 2003.

Meanwhile get yourself some virus software.

I think Judith needs to kick someone's butt ASAP.
