How can I import or link to an "Interbase 7.1" database

I need to run access queries on a database that is in Interbase format the
file extension is .gdb.

Access does not recognize this database. How can I import or link to it?

If you have a good answer for me, please be specific in your instructions, I
am not very knowledgeable in this area.
