How can I insert a logo?

I realize this may not be the appropriate newsgroup, but I couldn't seem to
find the right one. If there is one I should be posting this message in
please let me know!

I am trying to insert my company's logo in the top-lefthand corner of my
document. I don't ever want it to be edited by the user and I don't want it
to interfere with margins of the actual text that is typed (just like typing
a document directly onto our letterhead.

How can I do this?

The same way you would prepare letterhead. Insert the logo as a picture in
the header (or the first page header if you really want it to act like
letterhead and not show up on every page). File => Page Setup => Layout
(tab) - check "Different first page."

Go into your Headers and Footers under the view menu.
Make sure your logo is the size you want it to be using
Photoshop or other software that edits images. Save it as
a .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .wmp or as a .png file. While in the
header window, you will see an outline of the area, go
insert>image or picture from file and browse to your
logo. It will pop in. You can adjust it to be justified
left, center or right there. Then go back to View>Page
View. It should be there and it will appear on every page
and it will not be able to be edited out. Hope this helps.
