How can I insert multiple photos at one time in PowerPoint?

I have many photos in one file that I have optimized at 96 dpi for
PowerPoint. Is there any way to bring them in with one or two clicks rather
than one at a time?

Sonia, thank you for your answer. I didn't realize that I needed to say
"batch import slides one at a time." That's my fault. The answer you gave me
was how to import several pictures onto one slide. I don't want to do this.
There was a link to a page about how to import each picture onto separate
slides, but it was extremely technical and I didn't understand it. Thank you.

Please read the information at that link more carefully. Photo Album and Image
Import Wizard both let you insert one image per slide. Go to Insert > Picture >
Photo Album and follow the wizard to see the possibilities.
