How can I made a very large listing scroll slowly up the screen

I want to scroll either up the screen or across the screen 2000 names and to
it very slowly. How do you do this in Power Point. If not is there a better
program

Its a lot of names but I guess you could use custom animation - credits and
manually enter a long time in the speed box, maybe 600 secs?
