How can I make something available for download from my website?

I have a manual that can be purchased at my web site. I would like to make it
so that after the purchase is made, the buyer can download the manual. What
do I need in order to make this happen and how do I go about doing it?

You will need:

A shopping cart application on your site.
A security certificate for an https:// server to process credit card info.

Much simpler to use something like the following:
