how can I merge 2 outlook calendars instead of overlaying them?

I recently installed outlook on a new laptop - I synchronised the calendar
with my iphone via iTunes - there were 2 calendars on my iphone from a
previous installation but only the latest one was synchronised (I kept the
old calendar just for reference). Outlook has created 2 calendars on my new
system - it posts all new appointments onto the old calendar and treats this
as the master calendar - with no calendar delete option.

How can I either merge the calendars to create a single calender, else
nominate the latest calendar as the master and then delete the old one?

You can merge two calendars by opening the source calendar, switching to a
table vuew like Events or By Category, selecting all the events with Ctrl-A,
then dragging the selection to the destination folder. Ctrl-click and drag
for Copy instead of Move.

Outlook has only one default calendar and that is always the calendar in the
same data store that holds your Inbox (and the other Outlook default folders).
You cannot change the l0ocation of the default calendar without changing the
location of all the default folders.
