how can I move the quick access toolbar

I need the quick access toolbar to be nearer where I want it. That is NOT the
tiny bit to below the ribbon. I need it on the right hand side instead of the
left or at the bottom of the page.

I used to put my tool buttons exactly above where I would be needing them or
at the bottom of the page. I don't appear to be able to do this now and am
VERY annoyed.

And is there any particular reason you NEED it on the right instead of the
left?

The QAT can be placed either above or below the Ribbon and aligned to the
left.

And, fwiw, you aren't the only one who has been annoyed by this restriction.
