how can i move the slides to a different order in powerpoint

Do you mean rearranging the slides?
In normal or slide sorter view, click and hold down the slide thumbnail,
then drag it to the desired position.

Go to "View", "Slide Sorter", click and drag a thumbnail to move it to
another location. You can hold down the CTRL key and click several of them
and move them at once if you want.

broadway blondie,

open your presentation

view menu > slide sorter

then click a slide (and hold down the left mouse button), while dragging the
slide to the position you want it (a tiny vertical black line will appear),
let go of the button. Wallah!

Continue until it's sorted!
