How can I print Names on Photos

I want to put a name on the bottom of photos to show what they arewhen they
run as a slide show. Can anyone give me ideas please.

I am just doing it from My Pictures in Windows XP

That still doesn't help.

When you double-click on a picture file and the photo opens, what does it
say across the very top of that window. For example, mine says "Microsoft
Photo editor - filename.jpg".

Bob I

Don't need Office. Just open a COPY(be sure you have the original in a
safe place)of your picture in MS Paint. And use the "text" feature to
lable it at the bottom of the image.
