How can I put a message back on the server in Outlook?

I did not know that the default in Outlook was to delete all messages from
the server after download. I now turned it off, but now I need to put the
messages back on the server.

How do I do this?

POP server? You don't. Well, you could forward them to yourself, that'd
work.

Oh no!! I'm having the same problem. I've never used Outlook before and I
had no idea that is how it works. I've just cleaned out hundreds of messages
and now the only way to access them is at home. That is not good.

Are you sure there isn't a better way than forwarding them? What is an IMAP
connection?

Yes, I am sure. POP is not a protocol that uploads to the server. That
functionality does not exist.

IMAP is a different type of mail server protocol, one that is more of a
two-way protocol that should allow you to do what you need. Ask your ISP if
they allow IMAP access to your mailbox.
