how can i reduce the image size of all jpeg attachments?

all of the pictures i try and email to my friends are huge. I need to know
how to reduce the image size before sending messages with these large
attachments

There are many ways, but one of the easiest is to get a picture-handling
program like IrfanView (www.irfanview.com) to reduce the picture sizes prior
to sending.
