As I understand the system, there is literally no way to
completely delete the resource.
Here are 2 alternatives you could try:
Manually screen your resource list and only import the new
resources or
Create a project outside the server and assign ALL your
resources to one task. Then IMPORT the project to the
server. When you Import, the server will map all the
existing resources to their resource pool equivalent and
only import the new resources. This has worked for me, but
you have to have the permission to create new resources.
