How can I save my calendar so I can look back at previous months

I need to keep prior months' calendar so I can look back. Right now, after a
few weeks or less, my appointments drop off.

When you say "drop off" what do you mean?
Is this a stand-alone Outlook or Exchange?
Check the autoarchive properties of the calendar. (Right-click on Calendar,
choose properties)

They end up in my deleted file in outlook e-mail. I do not share my
calendar. I am the only user.

Do you sync with a handheld device?

Yes, I do. A Blackberry.

This is likely the problem, then. By default, Blackberries remove items from
its calendar after two weeks. When you sync with Outlook, this will also
remove the itrems from Outlook. You should configure your Blackberry to
retain past events indefinitely if you want them to remain in Outlook as well.

Any idea how I go about doing that?

Its a setting on your Blackberry. I don't use one, so can't say, but surely
the documentation that came with your Blackberry should tell you. It has also
been posted here before, so Google should be able to find it for you.
