How can I save specific views in calendars

I am having trouble with customized views not sticking when I close out of
Outlook. It is also happening t shared calendars that I need things like
that task pane setting to stay. Can this be done? I tried to define the
view and save it, but that only holds the content, such as the subject, or
CC... in emails. It does not save the actual view. Any ideas?
