How can I see the envelope in taskbar when I have unopened msgs?

Do you have the option turned on here in Outlook: Tools menu > Options >
Email options > Advanced email options?

If so, is it possible that you've got the icon hidden in the system tray? If
you click the little arrow at the left end of the tray do you see it?
