How can I send a Power Point slide in the body of an e-mail?

Marcia Lynn

I am attempting to send a PowerPoint slide by e-mail and do not want to send
as an attachment. I want the slide to appear when the recipient opens the
e-mail.

Thanks,

Marcia

This is a bad way to send a slide -- assuming you want the person to be able
to actually use the PPT file to edit or view or whatever.

But to do it, you'd go to slide sorter view, copy a slide, and then paste in
the email window where you're typing your email. You'll have to be using
HTML email to do this. The slide won't animate or anything, either.

I have had clients send me "slides" this way before, and it's a royal pain.
If the recipient needs the PPT file, it's much better to send it as an
attachment.

What's the real goal here? There may be a better way to go about whatever it
is you need to do.

Thanks for your answer, and I will try this. I just want the recipient to
view the slide. It's a long story, but the recipient does not need to
respond to my e-mail or amend the slide in any way.

Knowing this, is there an easier way to send?

Thanks again,

Marcia

In that case, your way might be the easiest, Marcia.

You might also consider using File|Save As and selecting JPG in the "save as
type" drop-down in the dialog box. That will save the slide as a JPG, which
you can attach to (or paste into) the email.
