How can I set the default font for japanese language input?

I use the Microsoft IME Standard 2002 ver. 8.1 to enter japanese characters
with my English/German layout keyboard. Works well, but I cant change the
default font (MS Mincho) to another one (in WORD). I tried several things
already, doesn't work!
Anybody who can help me? Thank you!

Your best chance to get help with this would be the
word.international.features newsgroup.
