How can I set up Spell Checker on Entourage

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have followed a previous post to set this up and have hit a brick wall.

Under Preferences in Entourage, I have clicked "Check Spelling as you type" which doesn't solve the problem. However under Custom Dictionary, I have noticed it tells me no Dictionary is being used. And if I click on Dictionaries and Choose File the Dictionary I do have appears un-highlighted.

I have the same problem in Word.

Can anyone help?

I have the same problem in Word.

I suspect that your custom dictionary is corrupted. In WOrd, in the
Spelling preferences, select your custom dictionary and click the Edit
button to open it in WOrd. Make a slight modification and save. It
should correct the problem and de-corrupt the file.
