How can I setup Recurring Appointments for School Calendar

E

Eileen Diaz

Greetings! I am setting up a school calendar. We have
class cycles (Days A through F). Since we have holidays
(and no school on Saturday or Sundays) I need the ability
to setup recurring appointments for each day of the cycle.

I am using Version 2002 of MS Outlook.

thanks,

Eileen,
In Outlook, Click on New Appointment. At the top of the appt screen, there
is a button titled "Recurrence". Click on it and set up your recurring
appointment. Jennifer

Since recurring appointments are classes that occur at
dates not definable in Outlook (i.e. daily, every Monday,
third Firday of the month) I can not define as
recurring. I try to "copy" an appointment, but
the "copy/paste" feature is not available to copy
appointments in Calendar.

You may wish to review WS:Repeat Appointment for Outlook at
www.websetters.co.uk to see if this alternative approach provides you with
the solution you desire. Although the appointments are created as Repeat
Groups they can be managed as independent appointment therefore retaining
any characteristics established prior to Repeat Group closure.

Also be aware that version 2 is scheduled for Q4 2004 which greatly
enhances the current functionality in addition to introducing similar
functionality to the Outlook Recurrence function, include invites, time zone
impact awareness plus other features.

If you would like to understand more or perhaps hear about the early release
programme then contact (e-mail address removed).

Regards
Graeme
