How can I split screen an 2 internet webpages

I trying to see if you can split screen on the internet as you can do with
Microsoft software products like Excel & word.

If you mean run two instances of IE, yes.

Not really in IE or Firefox, but they do (IE 7+) support tabbed browsing. I
believe that Opera web browser lets you view pages in this way.
