Do you have any background in VBA, Macro's, any other database type like SQL
or ORACLE?

If not, I recommend you to either by a book, take a course, read the access
help file
or try until it work.

Keep in mind that access is prety easy to use if you want to create basic
database. If you get stuck or have questions, newsgroup will become very good
friend.

I agree to buy an introductary book.
I agree that Access is easy to create a basic database - but no-one ever
needs a 'basic' database; there is alwayts something extra needed that is not
easy.
It's not possible to create anything user friendly in Access without getting
into VBA coding. The standard Access user-interface is unlike anything in
Windows and is not intuitive.
