How can i stop a large file from being sent once it's in the Outb.

A word doc attachment in my email is over 12Mb and is taking way too long to
send (all weekend!). I can't delete the file now as it seems to be already
trying to transmit it. Is there a way i can stop the Send at this stage?

Try getting Outlook to go into offline mode (eg. select File | Work Offline
in Outlook or Internet Explorer, pull the network connection, .etc). You
should be able to delete the item. If this doesn't work, you will have to
create a new PST file and set that as the default delivery location. From
there you can start Outlook, go into the old pst's outbox and delete the
item. Set the old pst as the default delivery location and remove the new
pst.

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/stuck_message.htm

Note - when you post in here, always include your version/mode/SP level of
Outlook (help | about)
Also, you need to check with your ISP on message size limits, and also
verify with the recipient that your attachment/message isn't too large. I'd
say 4MB is the usual limit for POP accounts.
