How can I stop Outlook from Closing Word Part 2

I have Office 2003 with updates.

Task Manager does not show it as open.

Outlook closes Word every time I write or read an email. How do I stop it?

Is Word being used as your email editor?

Yes it is. Evidently, it has to be that way for the .sig file to work.

I had the same problem with Outlook 2003 SP2. Archiving fixed the problem
for me. After archiving everything (including subfolders) 2 months or older,
the problem disappeared.

Did you use AutoArchive, or was it a one time thing?
