how can i tell if Office 10 is installed(laptop)

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop & would like to know how I tell if Office
10 is in my PC & active. in the list of programs it says Microsoft Office but
I can't open it, & cannot find the system page which I had before. Thanks for
your help Genny

Look under Control Panel - Add/Remove programs. See if it's listed in there.

If it's not listed you don't have it. You'd need to buy/install it.

It's like Rob says, if it's not there, it's not on your computer. You can't
activate a program that isn't installed.

Where are you seeing this "list of programs" that leads you to believe you
have Office XP?

I don't know I've tried to go back to the page but I can't. The list of
programs i saw was underright click for Explore & then the Program files in
My Computer.The other page had a message that Office wasn't....Couldn't read
anymore Guess I'll just have to buy Office, I need it for transferring my
handheld diary details to. Genny
