How can I trace mail delays in Outlook 2000?

I am using Outlook 2000 on Windows XP. Recently several e-mails which have
been sent to me have been delayed by up to three weeks before they arrive in
my inbox (I am a stand alone user with a broadband connection, not connected
to a local network). Is it possible to trace the route the mail has taken to
get to me and where the hold ups have occurred?

On the message in question, go to View -> Options. In the box at the
bottom of the resulting dialog, you will see the Internet headers of the
message. You're interested in the Received: headers, which should trace
the progress of the message throught the servers that handled it (in
reverse order - in other words, the last server to handle it will be the
first in the list). Each of these headers should have the time at which
the server received the message.
