how can i track changes in word

i have Windows XP.

On the tools menu, I do not have the "track changes" tab to click on.
therefore I am unable to activate.

How can I activate "track Changes in word documents?

Your operating system does not matter (Windows XP), your version of Office
does. Do you have personalized menus active? If yes, click on the down
arrow to show more options. Track Changes has been in Word since forever.
