How can I transfer settings in Office 2007?

I just downloaded the "Windows User State Migration Tool (USMT) version 3.0"
but it says "Setup cannot update your USMT files because the language
installed on your system is different from the update language".

There should be no previous USMT installation on my system so maybe I'll
just have to wait for a German version.

Anyway, thank you again for this hint.
