I need to be able to type in Japanese. This site tells me I need an IME, but
I can't find one for Office 2003. Where can I find one?

Hi,

per a website: http://www.japan-guide.com/forum/quereadisplay.html?0+5579

Use at own risk, of course:
Instead of using the Global IME XP, you just need to add an Input Language
in the Regional and Language Options servlet the Config Panel. Click the
Languages tab and push the Details button.

If you show the Language bar on the Taskbar (click Language Bar button in
the above dialog for options), you can easily switch between input languages

This DOES NOT work. Any other ideas?

Sorry, no clue. But I have a similar problem.

I have Office 2000. OS = XP. Office was preinstalled on my machine.
I have the office disks, but NOT the "multi language support" disks.
I upgraded from win98 to XP but don't seem to be able to locate the
XP disk :-(
I am taking Japanese, and would like to type in hiragana/katakana

I downloaded the global IME, but it's setup complains about Office 2000
instead of XP.

Any suggestions??

thanks!
