F FloMM2 Nov 25, 2006 #2 If the sender does not tell you how to unlock. You can save the file with a different name edit to your hearts content. It will not change the original file, but at least you can get you input down. HTH

G Gord Dibben Nov 25, 2006 #3 What prevents you typing in it? What message do you get when you try to type? Perhaps the sheet is protected. Look under Tools>Protection and see what is available. The sender may have to supply you with a password to unlock the sheet. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP
