How can I use mail merge to create flash cards?

S.O.S. Please. I would like to know how to create index cards or flash cards
( by inserting card stock/index card paper in to my printer) to study with
using word. I know this can be done. I do know that it is formatted somehow
by clicking on tools and going in to letter and mailings. The end result
would be to print multiple pages with borders forming index cards that can
be cut out latter on. The main problem is figuring out the steps to format
the index cards using letters and mailings. Or if there is another way to
make index cards I would be much appreciative. Ultimatly I would like to use
my lecture notes that are typed on word to form index cards/flashcard from
which to study on. Please help.

Yes you can use "mail-merge" to make them. I would suggest that you
start with plain paper, and use the "zoom" feature in print to get the
multiple pages per sheet. After you have refined your technique THEN use
the card stock.
