How can I view a file in MDI format?

Lance

I'm trying to view the Metro Specification and Reference guide linked at
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/print/Metrodwn.mspx? It is in "MDI"
format which I understand to be Office Document Imaging File format, and
viewable by the Microsoft Office 2003 version of Microsoft Office Document
Imaging. However, I cannot locate a simple viewer for this, and it's
surprising that MS would post this documentation in a format few can actually
view.

Hi Lance,

Not sure why MS chose to use the MDI format in this case,
but they've updated the page to note that Office 2003
is required to be able to view the Metro specification.

If you don't have an Office 2003 family app you could view
the MDI file using one of the trial downloads (If I recall
'OneNote' is the smallest download (80mb) :( but should
include MS Office Document Imaging.

There isn't, at present, a MS Office Viewer for MDI files
available.
