How can I view pictures that are attachments to an email without .

When I open an photo attachment to an email without saving it first, I get a
whole bunch of boxes with a red x in them. If I save the file to my hard
drive first and then double click the file, it opens just fine. Is there a
way to open up a JPG, for instance, directly from Outlook like I can with any
other picture manager I've used? BTW, all photograph file types are
associated with the program.
