How can I work on two programs at once i.e. Word and Excell

I would like to look at the information that I have in word and type it in
excell. I have to keep going from one to the other to do this. Is there a way
I can see both programs on my screen and be able to work on them both?

You could but they will only be the size of one half of the screen. Ideally,
you are looking at a two monitor setup.
